International Cyber Expo
On 26th September the DSbD TAP Team had a booth presence at this industry-leading cybersecurity event at Olympia, London where it showcased the Arm’s Morello evaluation board demonstrator created by Digital Catapult to help the public experience the technology first-hand and ask questions to technologists on stand.
Paul Ceely, Director of Digital Strategy at Digital Catapult chaired a roundtable discussion around the topic “Security in Telecoms Networks Virtualisation/Cloudification – Challenges and Opportunities” attended by senior CISO’s from companies such as Vonage, Google, Lebara and Huawei.
Digital Security by Design All Hands
On 12th October the DSbD ecosystem of partners, TAP companies, government and academia gathered in Wolverhampton for a 1-day networking and learning event, the DSbD All Hands. Over 200 guests from all over the UK participated at showcase sessions on current DSbD projects and a series of afternoon workshops to share knowledge, ideas and challenges.
Dana Elman, Innovation Partner and Programme Lead from Digital Catapult introduced the Technology Access Programme that Digital Catapult is running for Digital Security by Design highlighting its role to facilitate the experimentation of this new, game-changing technology to improve computer security.
“Overall the event provided an excellent networking opportunity to meet the broader DSbD community. Seeing some of the advanced use cases of the Morello/CHERI allowed me to get a better perspective on how to approach our project. The workshop conducted by Konrad was particularly beneficial to me as it accelerated the learning required for porting software to CheriBSD“.
Shariar Rajib, Data Systems Advisor at Cedyr Labs
“Attending the Digital Security by Design All Hands event was a great opportunity to meet stakeholders and get a big-picture-overview of the research and development being undertaken. As a new member of the ecosystem, it was both refreshing and encouraging to speak with so many open, honest, and welcoming industry, academic, and government DSbD partners. I look forward to working with Morello & CHERI knowing the strength and breadth of experience, expertise, and support that can be sourced from within this community”.
